
37 year old Sri Lankan sprinter from Divulapitiya Gnanodya MMV and competitor at the Olympic games 2008 and 2012 , managed to become the winner of M35+ category in Cardiff Half Marathon 2015 by clocking one hour , 04 minutes and 47 seconds and to finish 8th as the Ovreall marathon.
More than 22,000 runners have taken part in this year’s Cardiff Half Marathon.
Ugandan Ben Siwa won the men’s race while Lenah Jerotich from Kenya won the women’s title.
Double Olympian marathoner Anuradha Indrajith Cooray fortunate to break the Sri Lankan record which was previously held by the legend B Rosa; by clocking two hours, 13 minutes and 47 seconds at the London Marathon in April 2015.
