Bhagya and Ranindu win double titles

Fourteen years old Bhagya Madushani of Dudley Senanayake Central College Tholangamuwa and fourteen years old Ranidu Nimhan of Dharmasoka College won each double titles at the annual ‘Mora Smashes 2014′ All Island Intermediate and Novices Table Tennis Championship organised by the University of Moratuwa and worked off for three days at University of Moratuwa recently. Over 500 paddlers participated in this championship.

Bhagya Madushani beat Amani Ranatunge of Ananda Balika Vidyalaya Colombo by 2-0 sets in under 15 girl’s singles final and she beat Ranatunge Malsha of Kegalu Balika Vidyalaya by 2-1 sets in the girls under 18 singles final.

Ranidu Nimhan of Dharmasoka College beat Helika Adikari of Royal College by 2-0 sets in the boys under 15 final and he beat U. K. M. Jayaratne of Dudley Senanayake Central College Tholangamuwa by 2-0 sets in the men’s novices singles.

Treshani Perera of University of Moratuwa won the Intermediate title and she beat Ridma Ayeshika of Prajapathi Balika Vidyalaya Ambalangoda by 2-0 sets in the final. U. K. M. Jayaratne of Dudley Senanayake Central College won the men’s Intermediate title and beat Prabath Sanjaya of Sri Lanka Army ne 2-0 sets in the final.
