Ashen wins Mr Matara title

A.H.Suraj Ashen of the House of Fitness Sports Club won first place in the 100 kg category at the Mr Matara Championship which was concluded at Matara Young Buddhist Association Auditorium recently.

The runner up was Wathsula Hewage from the Polo Sports Club and the second runner up was G.L.Supun Maduranga from Royal Sports Club. The contest was organised by the Sri Lanka Body Building and Fitness Federation with the support of Matara Young Buddhist Association.

Ashen was able to come on top at the completion of all three rounds and finished ahead of more than 100 competitors from 20 clubs from the Matara district. Southern Province Education Minister Chandima Rasaputhra and Sri Lanka Bodybuilding & Fitness president Kapila Kumara was the chief guest and guest of honour respectively for the event.
