“Dads cricket tournament will be a new milestone in the cricket history”

Former Test cricket Captain Arjuna Ranatunga stated that “My Dad is My Super Star- Dad cricket tournament” will not be just a cricket tournament. He stated that this tournament will expect to build up a new social relationships to avoid cultural degradation.


“It’s important to give priority to the cricketers who are talented, but not money addicted to win a world cup in the future. Main objective of Dads cricket tournament is to create a surround which join talented cricketers with Veteran cricketers, Coaches and counselors.

“The common challenge between young generations is liquor and drug abuse. It will cause to degrade ethics and the culture. As adults, we should fight against it. We expect to initiate an organization for this by Dads cricket tournament” He made these reviews during the media brief yesterday at Sri Lanka Foundation.


1996 world winning cricket team will participate to Dads cricket tournament by 18 teams. Opening ceremony will be held on 02nd November at Colts ground. League stage matches will be held on 3,4,10,11 of November at Colts ground and BRC ground and Semifinal will take place on 18th November at Moratuwa Tiron ground in light.
