N Srinivasan appointed to new chairmans Of ICC

Narayanaswami Srinivasan has been confirmed as the first chairman of the International Cricket Council at the world body’s annual conference on Melbourne on Thursday .

The Indian born 69-year-old industrialist was ordered to step-down as the chairman of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) in March to ensure fair investigations into corruption charges over the 2013 Indian Premier League (IPL).

” It is an honour to be confirmed as the Chairman of the International Cricket Council . I will leave no stone unturned in trying to strengthen the pillars and foundations of our sport , both on and off the field , ” Srinivasan said in a statement issued by the ICC .
