Sri Lanka U19 won the 05th and the  final Youth ODI played against Pakistan U19 at the MRICS, Hambantota.

Pakistan, who were put into bat by Sri Lanka, after winning the toss managed to score a formidable 264 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in their allotted 50 overs. However, the Lankan U19 managed to reach the target in the 47th over of the match. Sri Lanka only lost 5 wickets in the process, with ‘Man of the Match’ of the game, Kamil Mishara top scoring with a knock of 87 runs made from 118 balls. He struck 5 boundaries.

Mishara was well supported by Ravidu Rashantha, who scored 85 runs from 67 deliveries, which included 13 boundaries.

In bowling for Pakistan, Mohamed Wasim captured 2 wickets for 39 runs conceded in 08 overs, while Shiraz Khan captured 2 wickets for 47 runs conceded in 10 overs.

Earlier in the day, Pakistan’s Mohammed Basit ( 56 runs), Haris Khan ( 51 Runs) and Qasim Akram ( 51 runs) scored vital half centuries to help the visitors post a formidable score on the board.

In bowling for Sri Lanka, Dilshan Madushanka captured 3 wickets by conceding 45 runs in his allotted 10 overs.

Series Summary

Pakistan U19 won the series 3 – 2, whilst their Skipper Rohail Nazir was awarded the ‘Man of the Series’ award for his magnificent batting display during the series. ( 320 runs).
