SANGAKKARA breaks another record…..

SANGAKKARA breaks another record…..

Sri Lanka’s legendary No. 3 batsman Kumar Sangakkara now has become the first man to score three consecutive Test hundreds three times in his career.

Sangakkara did this during the first test between England vs Sri Lanka at Lord’s. He had never made a Test century at Lord’s; now he has memorable century at Lord’s.

Perhaps this might be Sangakkara’s last chance at Lords. Eventhough he seems to be more & more established at Sri Lankan batting line-up now.

Including this fighting knock he has the most number of centuries by a Sri Lankan batsman with 36 hundreds including 9 double centuries and a triple century to his name.

Sangakkara is now the fourth on the list of most number of hundreds in Tests behind Sachin Tendulkar, Jacques Kallis, Ricky Ponting while maintaining the best average (58.50) amongst. He is just 3 double centuries behind away from Sir Donald Bradman, who is in top of the list, which made 12 double tons under his name.
