St. John’s beat Jaffna Central.

St. John’s College Jaffna beat their traditional rivals Jaffna Central College by 84 runs in the 109th Battle of the North encounter played at the Central grounds in Jaffna yesterday.

St. John’s Jaffna won the toss and elected to bat. St. John’s Jaffna scored 300 runs for 7 wickets in 87.5 overs. Jeni Flemin scored 107 runs. Skiper Sajeenthiran Kapilraj scored 50 runs. Arulananthan Ghanamirthan and P. Thuvarakaseelan scred each 33 runs.
