Charith Senanayake Returns as Sri Lanka Team Manager

Sri Lanka Cricket has appointed Mr. Charith Senanayake as the Manager of the National Team.

Former Sri Lanka Cricketer, Senanayake will replace former Sri Lanka cricketer Asanka Gurusinha who is keen to assume duties as chief cricket operations officer in charge of SLC’s High-Performance Unit and Brain Centre Operations.

His appointment will be in effect from 25th July to 30th September 2018.

Senanayake will function as the Team Manager of the National Team, up until the conclusion of the Asia Cup, which will be played in September 2018.

He played three Tests against New Zealand on the 1991 tour, and seven ODIS in 1990 and 91 with moderate success.
