SLT SILK Sports Awards 2017: Dilantha, Nimali take out top individual honours

Dilantha Malagamuwa and Nimali Liyanarachchi were judged sportsman and sportswoman of the year at the 3rd edition of the SLT SILK sports awards in Colombo, each having outstanding performances in 2017.

The 3rd SLT SILK Sports Awards ceremony held at the BMICH on 28 November.

The annual SLT SILK Sports Awards 2017 was organized by SPORTSINFO and sponsored by Sri Lanka Telecom.

Minister of Sports Dayasiri Jayasekara was the chief guest while Minister of Petroleum Resources Development; former 1996 world cup winning captain Arjuna Ranatunga and Prof. Carlo Fonseka participated as the guests of honour.

This glittering event was organized for the third consecutive year with the objective of appreciating those who contributed to sports in the past years and the greats of the game and those unsung heroes behind the scenes are the main target of this year’s event.
