Sri Lanka U/14 Girls team registered a victory in their first match of the AFC

Under-14 Girl’s Regional Championship when the defeated Maldives 6-0 at Kathmandu in Nepal.

Surenthiran Gowri slotted a goal in fifth minute of the match and Sri Lanka went on to add four more at the half time and eventually won with such a good margin.

Scorers: Surenthiran Gowri (4”), Dilinika Lochani (15”), Pabasara Ekanayaka (23”), Thakshila Wijesingha (32”), Warnakulasuriya Imesha (35+2”), Sivaneswaran Tharmika (70+1”)

In the other matches played in the AFC South and Central Region India 12 beat Bhutan 0 and Nepal 3 beat Iran 2
