Wesley targets Blue & Gold Hockey championship

Wesley College will be aiming for their second successive trophy attempt when they take part in the Blue & Gold seven-a-side hockey tournament organized by the Royal College Hockey Club and Royal College, to be worked off at the Royal College Ground, October 11 and 12.

Over 50 boy’s and girl’s schools across the country including teams from Jaffna will participate in this year’s tournament.

In the Girl’s Tournament, where Janadhipathi Balika Vidyalaya Nawala will be hoping to defend their title, will see around 130 games in the two days. The important matches including the Cup finals will be telecast live in CSN.

The tournament is sponsored by Singer (Sri Lanka) Plc and co-sponsored by ESOFT Metro Campus. Asoka Pieris, the Group CEO of Singer (Sri Lanka) Plc will be the chief guest at the finals and awards ceremony.
