Singapore beat Sri Lanka in Asian Championships final

Defending champions Singapore managed to clinch their status in Asian netball after defeating Sri Lanka 59-41 in the Asian Netball Championships final on today held at the Singapore Sports Hub’s OCBC Arena.

Sri Lanka finished as runners-up in the Asian Netball Championship 2012 where they were beaten in the last seconds of the final by Singapore who clinched the Championship 48-47.

Sri Lanka defeated Kong Kong in the semi final while Singapore beat Malaysia in their semi final.

Both the team however, qualified for the World Championship set to be held in next year in Australia.
