Asianist qualify for 2015 Rugby World Cup

Japan has qualified for their eighth straight Rugby World Cup after they beat Hong Kong 49-8 at Tokyo’s National Stadium.

This is their 7th consecutive wins of the Asian Five Nations title since from the beginning. Two try for Yoshikazu Fujita and one apiece for Harumichi Tatekawa and Justin Ives staked Japan to a comfortable half-time lead before Thomas McQueen pulled one back for Hong Kong after the break.

“It was a tough old game but we have achieved our first goal, to qualify for the World Cup, which is fantastic” said Jones.

“We have reached our first goal to qualify for the World Cup and everything we do from now aiming to reach the quarter final somehow” said Eddie Jones – Japan coach.
