Minister of sports Dayasiri Jayasekera declared open the 2nd SPORTEX2017 at BMICH on 26th August 2017. SPORTEX2017 is considered that the Sri Lanka’s first national sports exhibition and is being held in Sri Lanka to develop & promote sports & sports business.

The exhibition brings an one stop sales platform for sports goods & services industry in Sri Lanka and inculcating good health habits of a healthy lifestyle by developing and promoting the sports in Sri Lanka.

Sports Minister Dayasiri Jayasekera said that exhibition’s like SPORTEX was useful in promoting the latest sports items and equipments available in the international market to the sports loving men and women in the country especially schoolchildren. The Minister who was the chief guest at the 1st day opening on Saturday said that he will fully support sportsinfo to reach their long term goals through his ministry at future exhibitions.

Also the minister said that ministry of sports would give whatever assistance Sportsinfo needs at future sportex exhibitions to promote sports & sports related business activities in Sri Lanka.

The Ministry of Sports, The Ministry of Higher Education and Ministry of Defence participated as honourary exhibitors to success this national sports exhibition.
