Masters Basketball Tournament

Masters Basketball Sri Lanka (MBSL) will conduct the 2nd Schools Old Boys & Old Girls Semi League Tournament, commencing during the week-end of 06th & 07th June 2015 at the MCA Basketball Court, Colombo 7.

The League Stage of the tournament will continue every week-end in June, (13/14, 20/21 & 27/28) at the MCA.

MBSL is planning to conduct the Semi-Finals and the Finals at a selected Indoor Court on 04th & 05th July, under lights.
The age categories for the Men are O-35, O-40 & O-50; while for the Women are O-28 & O-35 (as at 31st May 2015)
Entries are invited from teams made up of the Old Boys and Old Girls of same school and will close on 31st May 2015 with Hony. Treasurer / MBSL, Thusitha de Silva at 37 Castle Street,Colombo 8. (e-mail: Mobile: 0717745755)

The concept of this tournament which was originated by Neil Perera last year will be steered under the Chairmanship of Vikum Siriwardena.

In the inaugural Tournament 2014 held at the MCA, Old Antonians, Wattala won the Mens O-35 Final, beating Old Devans. Old Sokians, Ambalangoda won the Mens O-40 Final, beating Old Sebastianites; Old Peterites, Bambalapitiya won the O-55 Final, beating the Old Royalists; The Womens O-28 tournament was won by Old Paulians, beating Old Presbitarians.
