8th Edition of the Travel Trade Sports Club Beach Volleyball Championships 2014

The 8th Edition of the Travel Trade Sports Club Beach Volleyball Championships 2014, sponsored by Mt. Lavinia Hotel Group for the 3rd successive time will be held on Saturday, 31st January 2015, at Club Bentota, Paradise Island, Aluthgama, commencing 8.30 am.

12 teams have pledged their participation so far, namely Sri Lankan Airlines “B” (2013 “Cup” Winner), Club Bentota “A” (2013 “Cup” Runners-up), Club Bentota “B” (2013 “Plate” Winner), Sri Lankan Airlines “A” (2013 “Plate” runners-up), Club Bentota “C”, Mt. Lavinia Hotel, Avani Bentota, Amaya Lake, Habarana (02 teams), Jetwing Blue (2012 Winner), Club Hotel Dolphin, Waikkal & Eden Hotel & Spa, Aluthgama.

Bentota Beach Hotel the 2013 “Bowl” Winner will be a notable absentee.

Special Awards, will offered to the most outstanding Player, Most Promising Player and Most Up & Coming Player.

The tournament will come under the supervision of National Beach Volleyball Coach, Prasanna Udayakumara and his team of officials.

The Official Sponsorship Presentation took place at the Mt. Lavinia Hotel yesterday, where Chinthaka Daluwatte, Director Sales & Marketing / MLHG handed over the package to Denesh Silva, President /TTSC.

Also present at the occasion were Dharshana Gunaratne, President, Club Bentota, Sports Club & Tyrone Perera, the Sports Events Co-Ordinator /TTSC
