IWF organize  Examination Course for International Wushu Judges

The 2014 International Wushu Judges Examination Course was successfully concluded in Shanghai on August 30. A total of 135 participants from 35 countries and regions took part in the course. Among them, 129 judges passed the examination and were conferred the international judges certificates and badges.

In the 6 days, the participants learned the International Competition Rules, Judging law, 3rd Set of International Competition Routines, video rating and participated in taolu and sanda technical training. The IWUF Technical Committee invited top experts to be teachers of the Course. Prof. Xu Weijun gave lectures on Taijiquan Competition Rules and he also guided the Taijiquan training. At the closing ceremony, Mr. Wang Yulong, Chairman of IWUF Technical Committee extended congratulations on the successful organization of the Course and he hoped the judges will continue to learn wushu knowledge and practice wushu officiating skills in order to become qualified judges.

With the development of Wushu sport, Wushu competitions will become more and more transparent and fairer in the future. This requires judges to be skillful and efficient in judging. Mr. Wang Yulong also thanked the teachers, the Shanghai Wushu Institute for their great effort for the Course.

In 2015, the IWUF Technical Committee and the Chinese Wushu Association will continue to conduct technical training including coaches training, judges training and athletes training for Wushu federations around the world.
