National WUSHU Championship 2014

The opening ceremony of the 14th National Wushu Championship will be held on 3 December at the Sugathadasa Indoor Stadium at 10.00 a.m. and the events will be worked off on 4 and 5 December.

The chief guest will be Minister of Sports Mahindananda Aluthgamage , and the guest of honour Ren Faqiang , Acting Ambassador and Charge de Affairs of the Embassy of PR of China. The other special invitees on the occasion are Cultural Minister T.B.Ekanayake, the new Ministry Secretary Nanda Mallawarachchi and Sports Director General Ranjani Jayakody.

There will be over 400 participants taking part in Sauda (combat event) and Taolu (routine event) at the championship.

Participants are requested to register themselves today (2 December) at the Sugathadasa Stadium Complex to assign the weight categories and the event under which they will participate.
